Cycling fun in the Eifel region

The Hotel zum Goldenen Stern is awarded by bett+bike (adfc) as a bicycle-friendly company. The hotel has its own parking facilities for bicycles. Take a tour by bike and enjoy the beautiful Eifel panorama. We are connected to the Prümtal, Enztal and Nimstal cycle paths, which have something to offer for every taste: Untrained cyclists can enjoy a carefree ride on converted old railway tracks with a gradient of only 1.5%.

Advanced cyclists will love the Nims- and Prümtal cycle paths - the beautiful day tours offer pure nature and cultural enjoyment. Sporty, passionate drivers, who are looking for a challenge, can go to their limits. They can discover many interesting forest trails off the cycle paths.

Nürburgring

For racing enthusiasts, the Nürburgring adventure centre with museum and kart track is not far away. Drive your own motorbike or car at the Nordschleife and experience the race feeling directly on the track!

Surroundings of Prüm

Walk through the surroundings of Prüm and learn about the history and scenic features of the region. The first destination is directly in front of the hotel: the baroque St. Salvator Basilica, with the tomb of Emperor Lothar and the reliquary shrine with the sandals of Jesus. The basilica and baroque façade of the former Prüm Abbey form a unity that impressively characterises the cityscape.

From here you can take a walk over the geopath "Prümer Held", where you can collect fossils, to the monastery Niederprüm and to the beautiful sculpture park of Hubert and Liane Kruft in Niederprüm.

The trail continues to the Calvary explosion funnel, which was created by a huge explosion at an ammunition depot in 1949. From this monument the path continues past the natural monument "Alte Tannen" and the Keltenring Prüm to the forest path Tettenbusch. We continue through the forest to the nature park's information centre.

It's only a few minutes from here back to the hotel.

Motorcycling in the Eifel region

As an accommodation awarded with the UEM emblem (European Motorcycle Union), motorcyclists are particularly welcome guests with us. Hotel parking spaces are available for motorcycles.

Here in Prüm, in the middle of the "Green Heart of Europe" is the ideal starting point for the perfect motorcycle tour. Create your tour individually or let our tour guide show you the best places. Our tour guide, a true Eifler veteran and a confirmed motorcyclist, will gladly pass on his insider knowledge about the routes and the best motorbike bars to you. Guided motorcycle tours of the "finest", there is something for every type of rider. For example: The Smuggler tour: This wonderful route along the Our and then purely to Luxembourg offers pure driving fun. The Gourmet tour: Enjoy the landscape and delicacies of the Eifel. Comfortable, beautiful driving is in the foreground. The sporty tour: Here are riders and bikers expected to do a lot. The destination is the Nürburgring. All tours start around 8:00 a.m. in the hotel and you are back around 4:00 p.m.. Individual wishes are gladly converted, also you can determine the group size.

Golfing in the Eifel

Golfing in the Eifel is an experience in itself just because of the wonderful landscape. There are three golf courses in the vicinity of Prüm:
